awards
- All EFFIE programs use the concept of gold, silver or bronze levels of award. Generally, a gold, silver and bronze winner is awarded in each category.
- The judges’ scores determine which campaigns are to be awarded a gold, silver or bronze Effie trophy. Each winning level (gold, silver, bronze) has a minimum score required in order for a finalist to be eligible for an award. It is possible in a category, for example, to award a silver and a bronze, but no gold.
- All categories Gold winners can compete for Grand Effie, except the “Sustained Success” winners (because of its unique time period).
- All campaigns competing for Grand EFFIE should have provoked a change in consumer behavior.
- The highest-scoring Gold Effie winners are eligible for the Grand Effie Award. The Grand Effie represents the single best case entered in a given year. The winning case represents both the most effective case of the year and a message that will be sent to the industry about lessons for the way forward. Only a select number of the highest-scoring Gold winning cases are considered contenders for the Grand Effie award.
