The 2017 Finalists Effie Gala will take place on the 30th of May at Apollo 111 (23-25 Ion Brezoianu Street), starting 7:30 p.m.
The Romanian EFFIE Awards gathered 29 agencies and companies, 106 campaigns, for more than 70 brands.
We will find out the finalists to enter to the second judging round, which will happen on 12th of June, with a different jury, made up out of high level specialists from companies, research agencies and advertising groups, but also from the academic environment.
Effie Talk – Béla Ziemann, Head of Strategy Publicis Italy
After announcing the finalists, Béla Ziemann will keep the audience entertained with a new Effie Talk, entitled: “Data and Creativity: Will You Have This Dance?”
Synopsis: This is a story of impossible love. More complex than Romeo and Juliet, more tragic than Titanic’s Jack and Rose. This is the story of the impossible love between Creativity and Data. A story that can lead to beautiful advertising work, if only creatives opened their hearts to fall in love with data.
After 10 years as creative strategist for global brands such as Heineken, Mercedes-Benz, DaimlerChrysler, Diesel, Pirelli, Nescafé, Renault and Canon, Béla has accumulated a wealth of understanding on how to solve complex and highly diverse business problems with creative strategy. Béla believes in award winning creative solutions as the best accelerator for any business transformation, which made him the most awarded planning director in Italy. In less than 2 years, he turned the Publicis planning dept. around and made strategy a key pillar of the agencies’ business offering. Béla is a lateral creative thinker, with strong mentoring and strategic communication skills. His strength is to develop brand beliefs and make them consumer relevant by identifying brand and product truths that relief consumer tensions.
