The moderators’ mission will be to establish a context that will help the jury members grasp the particularities of each category and clear as many ambiguities as possible regarding each submitted case study. Furthermore, all these debates will contribute to an Effie Insight Guide – a summary material that will concentrate the jury members’ feedback and suggestions based on the evaluation process of the works. Effie Insight Guide is a tool launched in 2016 with the aim of helping agencies and clients develop a clearer understanding of the market landscape and more effective campaigns.

The admission, judging and discussion of the case studies are performed on the basis of an matrix involving 4 key elements: Communications challenge and objectives, Strategic insights and idea, Bringing the idea to life & Results. The entire evaluation process of the 2017 edition of Effie takes place in 2 stages, the first leading to a shortlist, the second to the winners’ list.

Starting with the 2016 edition, Effie Romania fully adhered to the international franchise requirements of extending the role of Effie from a market efficiency contest into a much more elaborate platform, involving various events, workshops and learning experiences with the explicit aim of developing a body of knowledge that will lead to more effective campaigns and a higher standard of professionalism of the marketing and communication industry in Romania, in addition to the acknowledgement convened by the Effie trophies.

The evaluation process will take place on the 25th and 26th of May as well as on the 12th of June and will be complemented by 2 separate events – Shortlist Announcement on the 30th of May and Effie Awards Gala on the 14th of June.
