Saul Betmead – Chief Strategy Officer, Y&R EMEA
Saul’s charged with strategic leadership across the EMEA region, mentoring the group companies and helping clients find more effective communications solutions.
In 2016, Y&R was named Effie Most Effective Agency in Europe, something he is particularly proud of.
He sits on the Y&R Global ExCo, is a member of Global Creative Board and the Global Strategy Board tasked with creative and strategic excellence.
In his regional role he works across clients in many categories including FMCG, Retail, Pharma, and has a particularly deep experience and interest in the Technology, Telecommunications and Financial Service sectors. He authored the 2016 D&AD, Multiple Cannes Grand Prix winning McWhopper idea for Burger King and the 2015 Cannes Media Grand Prix, Global Warc Innovation winning ‘Red Light’ idea for Vodafone Turkey.
He is a former executive member of the IPA Strategy Group, one of the UK’s leading communications think tanks.
He’s a Trustee of UK charity Contact The Elderly, which seeks to eradicate one of the most troubling issues of our time, loneliness in old age.
Saul will be part of this year Romanian Effie Awards for the judging sessions and for the awarding gala. Also, on 14th of June, starting 10 a.m., Saul & IAA invite all interested public to an Effie Talk about creativity, titled „Creativity in a new world order of expectation”, at Institute, The Cafe (104-160 Stirbei Voda Street).
