Results
Background/objectives: Summertime brings lower traffic and sales for indoor fast-food category where KFC is one of the main players.
Strategy: In 2015, KFC launched a campaign which soon became a movement started from in-store experience: Fakation. KFC transformed their windows, trays and floors into fake holiday mock-ups so customers could take pictures of them in lavish far-away places, and shared them on all social media.
Results: KFC’s summer sales moved up versus previous summer, and people were having fun on multiple devices, moving up its brand attributes also.
